From Passion to Purpose

Determined to turn her passion into a profession, Deisy pursued formal education in both business and beauty. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Universidad Tecnológica de Santiago (UTESA) in the Dominican Republic and continued her professional training in makeup artistry, esthetics, and therapeutic massage.

Her education includes training at the Learning Institute of Beauty Sciences, Marinello School of Beauty, and the National Holistic Institute, where she completed 720 hours of massage therapy education. She later earned a Certificate in Spa & Hospitality Management from the University of California, Irvine, in 2016, and in 2023 continued her entrepreneurial development through the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative Education–Scaling Program.

Combining her knowledge of skincare science, therapeutic bodywork, hospitality, and business, Deisy developed a distinctive approach to beauty—one that emphasizes personalized care, innovation, and results-driven treatments.

Building the DE SUAR Brand

In 2004, Deisy founded DE SUAR Cosmetics, turning her lifelong passion for beauty into her first entrepreneurial venture. Starting from humble beginnings, she handcrafted, bottled, labeled, and packaged her own beauty products, personally managing every aspect of production and sales. What began as a small, independent business would eventually lay the foundation for a growing beauty and wellness brand.

In 2010, she expanded her vision by opening her first DE SUAR Spa in Downtown Los Angeles, bringing her passion for skincare, therapeutic treatments, and personalized wellness experiences into a professional spa setting.

In 2016, Deisy introduced her first expanded collection of beauty and body care products, including body lotions, shampoos, and other personal care essentials.

By 2020, she took another significant step in product development, collaborating with skincare specialists in South Korea to create her Dual Action Enzyme Papaya Cleanser, marking a new chapter in the evolution of DE SUAR Cosmetics.

In 2024, she continued expanding her skincare offerings, introducing additional products and refining the brand's growing collection.

In 2026, DE SUAR Cosmetics reached another milestone with the launch of an expanded, comprehensive skincare collection, bringing together cleansers, serums, moisturizers, and targeted treatments designed to make professional-inspired skincare accessible beyond the spa.

Today, DE SUAR has evolved into a multi-location beauty and wellness brand, with spa destinations in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Sherman Oaks, Monterey, and Santa Cruz, California. Deisy continues to lead the company's growth through skincare innovation, advanced treatment technologies, and the development of at-home beauty devices, including Chula Tone by Deisy Suarez.

Her literary projects include Marriage Material: How I Found My Husband, When the Sky Lost Its Colors, and Holy Skin, reflecting her passion for storytelling, personal empowerment, and beauty and wellness.

Philanthropy has also remained central to Deisy's personal and professional journey. Over the years, she has supported organizations and community initiatives including the Innocence Project, The Orangutan Project, Downtown Women's Center, Dignity Health, and other charitable causes.

Her commitment to service extends internationally through her volunteer work with Living Water Children's Centre in Tanzania, Africa, where she has used her knowledge of therapeutic touch and wellness to support vulnerable children.
